Jet Black^® Hot Crack Filler

Filling cracks and repairing joints is one step of the 7-step Jet-Black® system of sealcoating. Our customized trailer allows us to preheat the Jet-Black® filler up to 400 degrees. Our “hot pour” method allows the filler to penetrate much deeper into the cracks and joints. It is sufficiently pliable that it will not fail or crack in extreme temperatures.

The store-bought “cold pour” products are not as dependable or durable. In addition, there is no wait time to sealcoat over our crack filler. We’ve added more polymers to our filler than can be found in consumer grades of similar products. Higher levels of polymers help to eliminate tracking. The Jet-Black^® crack and joint sealant exceeds Federal specifications.

Jet Black^® “Black Gold” Sealcoater

Not wanting to use the over-priced, watered-down sealcoat products available in hardware stores, we developed our own special sealcoat. With the guidance and assistance of one of the top sealcoat manufacturers in the country, we designed our own “Black Gold” sealcoat, a rubberized latex-based formula with a unique additive. This additive makes the Jet-Black^® sealcoat a much richer black color, makes it longer lasting, thicker, and non-tracking, Jet Black^® sealer is designed with the customer in mind, with the intent to deliver the highest performance possible.

We use a computer controlled method of mixing, which insures every container is of the highest quality, and has the perfect mix of components every time. The mixing process utilizes specialized machinery to create high pressure and intense mechanical energy which in turn breaks the refined coal tar and additives into micron size particles. This process allows the particles to be suspended in the mix and makes it easier for the sealant to penetrate deep into the pores of the asphalt.
