We provide standard overlay and premium cut-out replacement repair which includes: power-clean, wire-brush and power-blow. We fill and compress holes with crushed rock, prime and tack-coat the sunken blacktop surface for proper adhesion, and install HOT blacktop mix to proper mat thickness. Consistent compacting across work surface with asphalt power-pounder and tamper helps eliminate pot holes from reoccurring.
Just What is Hot Mix Asphalt?
It's an engineered mixture of aggregate, or stones and sand, with liquid asphalt cement, a petroleum product. Varying sizes of aggregates are heated, then mixed, in exact proportions, with asphalt cement that has been liquified at about 300°. While the mixture is still hot, it is delivered to your driveway and paved on top of a base or subgrade that has already been prepared. Soon after paving, the mixture cools and hardens allowing you to drive on it right away.
